San Francisco's Health Care Spending Requirement Upheld by Court

A federal appeals court has ruled that the San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance, including the employer spending requirement, does not conflict with federal law (ERISA). The group that challenged the ordinance plans to appeal the decision [Golden Gate Restaurant Association v. City and County of San Francisco, No. 07-17370 (9th Cir., 9-30-08)].
